NY Times Predicts Halloween Transfusion for Retail Sales...

Halloween Sales Expected to Be No Tricks All Treats for Retailers

According to a recent NY Times article, the sluggish economy just might get a "Transfusion" this Halloween season. Perhaps this will also be good news for the entire 4th quarter for retail sales. I hate the visual of Santa standing on a street corner with a sign saying "Will work for reindeer feed.." So my question for you is this: Do you have your Halloween costumes listed on eBay and Amazon or etsy yet? There is a small window of opportunity still open but you need to get moving NOW! The bewitching hour is near, if you're going to be OUT in the COLD, make sure your pockets are lined with Cold Hard Cash from this profitable beginning to holiday sales.

Retailers are expected to scare up some wicked Halloween sales this year.

Spending on the holiday is expected to rise, as more people than ever celebrate the ghoul and goblin heavy ritual, according tothe National Retail Federation'sHalloween Consumer Intentions and Actions survey.

Indeed, seven in 10 Americans (68.6%) plan to celebrate Halloween this year, the most in the NRF's 10-year survey history -- up from 63.8% in 2010.

The average consumer will spend $72.31 on decorations, costumes and candy, up from $66.28 last year, which should add up to an estimated $6.86 billion in Halloween sales, according to the survey, which polled 9,374 consumers and was conducted byBIGresearch.

Adding to the robust outlook is that more people will play dress up this year -- 43.9% versus 40.1% in 2010 -- spending about $26.52 per costume.

Consumers will also spend $1 billion on children's costumes compared to $840 million last year. And they're increasingly getting Fido and Fluffy into the act. Pet owners will spend $310 million on costumes for their four-legged family members. In addition... See full article from DailyFinance:http://srph.it/nN573Q

A Basket of Eggs is Just a Basket of Eggs? Right?

I was reading a book at the Dr's office today about How to Survive in this Uncertain Economy. Flipping through the chapters one caught my eye regarding 5 ways to get cash FAST. Guess what was the TOP #1 suggestion? If you guessed selling your household extras on eBay you are 100% RIGHT. I loved seeing that suggestion printed in a book and loved even more that I have been doing just that for years! All it takes is going through your closets, garage, kids rooms, kitchen, attic or wherever you keep unused goods and DECLUTTER. Your next stop is to go here Click Here and sign up for an eBay account. They really make it easy by giving you step by step instructions. Truthfully, its really a breeze to get signed up. You will spend the most time just trying to think of a  CATCHY name for your business.

Not sure what to ask for your basket of eggs? There are several ways of making an educated decision. One of the easiest and FASTEST ways to get a general idea is by using a program called Terrapeak. Just click on the SELL button and you never have to leave the eBay site-about half way down the page there is a box with a blank field that says "What is it worth." How easy is that? Just type in the name of your item and it comes back with how many have sold and the price average for the last 3 weeks.

Stay tuned for more information or better yet SUBSCRIBE to my blog to get the latest installment. I will also be comparing selling on other sites such as Amazon FBA, as well as lesser known sites. The only way to succeed is to study and learn as much as you can. I am here to help you so feel free to comment with your questions.

Until Next time-Keep Looking Up!

Why This Book Needs To Be In Your Hands NOW!!

I just got finished reviewing a book that was just published and released this week. In fact if you check it out on Amazon, the release date says September 27th, 2011. This book was written by a man who has been teaching online marketing for several years and has a following in the Thousands... Get Book Now!

Why am I such a fan of  Jim Cockrum you say? Well, that is pretty easy--Jim is the REAL DEAL. Not only has he published a Best Selling ebook, he has also tutored thousands of people hungry to learn Internet Marketing through his blog and his membership site My Silent Team.

Jim will be the first to tell you that he has not done this all alone. He put together some of the most successful marketers who are active contributors in the forums. Getting advice, answers to questions, and sometimes a pat on the back are all a part of Jim's "Master Plan." He loves to help people navigate the ins and outs on online and offline marketing--but not in the old fashioned, text book way. He puts a fresh face on everything he touches, and he REALLY CARES about sharing his ideas and innovations. It's hard NOT to like the guy.

Have I met Jim, No, and I may never get to meet him, but I feel as though I have known him for years. There are tons of successful marketers out there and some really good people--I will probably profile some of them at a later date--but today is Jim's Day on My Blog, so let me end this post with a big Thank You to Jim and congratulations on your Soon to be Best Seller!

Here is my review of Jim's book after reading only a few pages:

Having subscribed to Jim's newsletter for many years, I thought I knew how this book would read. I was hooked just reading the Table of Contents. Jim has done an exceptional job relaying his common sense methods so that anyone can understand and take action NOW!

This is a MUST READ for anyone who wants to learn how to market anything. Jim shares his successful concepts--no fluff or empty promises. Best of all his methods are simple and cost practically nothing to implement. If you have ever spent money trying to learn how to market, make this your last "learning expense." Once you finish this book and follow the concepts, you will not only be armed with an advanced education, but you will be actually DOING something with it. My only question for Jim is: "What took you so long?"

Amazon FBA is NOT the Only Game in Town....

Here is my take on the subject-its a virtual piece of cake. Now I know many of you out here are trying to break into Internet Marketing. Its no surprise that I am in the same boat as you. It may sound kinda old skool and out of fashion at the moment, but have you ever thought of just taking a break from the brain boggle of studying with the "Gurus" and just "Doing?"

With the holidays around the corner, everyone needs extra cash. This is nothing new at your house or mine for that matter. The notion that between now ie September 2011 and January 2012 you are going to hit the IM motherlode and show up at Christmas dinner driving a Jag is pretty much NOT HAPPENING! I am sorry to burst your bubble. I certainly believe that there is money in Internet Marketing, I work at it daily. I believe that there is money to be made in Affiliate Marketing for example. I work on that every day. BUT, when I want to make some COLD HARD CASH, I clean out the closet or at this stage of my business, I Go Shopping! Click Here to See How its Done..

We are approaching the time of year when even a slow economy does not bring shopping to a halt. The best and fastest way to make money on the Internet, ie, on your home computer, in your jammies, 24-7 is still by selling goods in HUGE marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon. No, its not the newest, brightest, shiniest, flashing dollar signs on the slick web pages we all view each day--but here is WHAT IT IS! Its an honest, easily learned, quick way to transfer items from your house to someone else's and pocket Good Ol American dollars.
It's Not too Late..Yet!
Ok, so now you are rolling your eyes at me, I see you : ) and I know what you are thinking. I literally quit selling online for awhile in my efforts to study and learn from "The Masters." Guess what I learned for the most part? I learned that money does not fall from the sky, nor does it grow on trees. I also learned that there is money in those trees, if you know how to look for the "low hanging fruit." More on that later.

I could write a book on what I have learned by DOING when it comes to selling on these online GIANTS. For now, I have just written an article which will appear in a very soon to be released ebook called The Homerun Guide. Grab it now while the price is still low and LEARN from Real People just like you and me, who make money and have FUN doing it. I listened to a couple of snippets the other night and could not believe my ears at what some people make money selling. I wonder how many times I have walked past a used Baseball Glove for a few bucks, that could have made me $40 or $50 bucks easy? Heck, my article appears in THIS BOOK and I don't know half of these niches people are using to make CASH. You better believe when I get my hands on MY copy, I will study that ebook like I am studying for my Ph.D. How cool can it be to have people who are ACTUALLY Doing It, practically HAND you their Secrets, Tips, and Tricks to finding Hidden Treasure?? STOP Reading and Click Here!

You will thank me later.
Until Next Time-Keep Looking Up!
